German intensive course for refugees who are prospective university students
Refugees can apply for an intensive German Course, when they have a positive residence status (residence title for specific purposes; Aufenthaltstitel) and acquired an university entrance qualification in their home country. Course objective is acquiring the necessary language skills to start a course of studies or to attend an International College in Germany.
An intensive German Course will take place again in September 2017 at the Kaiserslautern International College and the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern. The German intensive course is intended for refugees with a residence permit who intend to pursue a course of studies at a university. This German intensive course will equip them with the necessary knowledge of the German language which is a prerequisite for university admission (German C1-niveau). If you are interested in a STEM subject (mathematics, engineering sciences, physics, information technology) the intensive German language course at the International College will be right for you.
A prerequisite for the application is that you have a positive residence status (residence title for specific purposes; Aufenthaltstitel) and German-language skills at level B1.
Please apply online (German only). We will then check your documents and – after a while – let you know whether you are admitted to the German intensive course.
The online application is now open. The course will start in September 2017 and probably end in February 2018. If you fulfill all prerequisites for an university admission it is possible for you to begin your studies at a university in the summer semester 2018.
